Menna, Can you tell us more about you and what captivated your attention in acting?
* My name is Menna Rashwan and I am 30 years old. My passion for acting has been developing since I was a kid, I used to act on stage in the school plays and imitate movies characters at home for my family. In 2018, I started to study acting professionally as I participated in many workshops with multiple celebrities; like Luke Lehner; Ramzy Lehner; Jerad James; Ahmed Zoghby; Ahmed Nadeem; and Shawn Kenly. Then, I engaged in improvising shows for 4 years and I also played "Walaa"'s role in "Ahlam Sa'eeda" in Ramadan 2022 besides many TV advertisements.
You recently played a role in a short movie, what was it?
- This role was in "دخلة" a short movie which was an exciting experience that I enjoyed a lot. "Wedding Night" or "دخلة" tells a story of a humble girl who starts her marriage life in a different way than how it goes on later because by time, you discover how the character and her life divergs.
Why have you chosen to play this role despite being a graduation project not a TV show?
- I got so excited when Sondos ElZayady -the movie director- offered me the role and I agreed even before reading the script. I was taken by the character and her story, so it didn't matter wether it is a graduation project or a TV show. In fact, I've always wanted to play a role like "Nahla" with such characteristics and details.
Will the movie be released soon on any platform so audience can watch?
- I cannot confirm you such news, but if there is any updates, we will be releasing it very soon, of course.
What are your plans for the time to come?
- I loved short movies style and I'm currently going in for another one
