GEM Introduces Online-Only Ticketing for Weekends Amid Visitor Boom
Due to the massive crowds overwhelming the Grand Egyptian Museum on November 7th and reaching full capacity, officials roll out a new ticketing rule to ensure a smooth visit and maintain an excellent visitor experience.
Starting November 8th, you'll need to book weekend (Friday-Saturday) and holiday tickets online via the official site (www.gem.eg). No more walk-up buys on those busy days, but weekdays still the same—online or on-site, as long as spots last.
This comes hot on the heels of the museum's big November 4th launch, which saw 18,000 visitors on day one. The goal? Safer, faster entry for everyone checking out Egypt's epic history.
