With sincere sadness and sorrow: President Sisi mourns the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Today, Friday, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi offered his condolences on the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Where President Sisi posted a tweet on his official page on Twitter, he said: “I mourn with sincere sadness and sorrow one of the most precious men, and one of the greatest leaders, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who passed away after a long journey of giving. A lot for his country and his nation, so that the UAE became a model for development and modernity in our region and the world.”
And he continued: "Sheikh Khalifa was truly a lover of Egypt, and a loyal friend in all circumstances and conditions. In my name and the name of the people of Egypt, I offer my condolences to the leadership, state and people of the United Arab Emirates in this great affliction, and I pray to God Almighty to bless the dear deceased with his mercy, and to the Emirates. Sister, with perseverance in progress and honor.
The Egyptian presidency also declared a three-day mourning period in all parts of the Arab Republic of Egypt, starting today, Friday.
It is noteworthy that the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today Friday, according to what was announced by the Emirates News Agency, WAM.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs also announced official mourning and flags at half-mast over Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for a period of 40 days, starting from Friday, and suspending work in ministries, departments, federal and local institutions, and the private sector for 3 days, starting from Friday.
