Alvin Poh, is a Singaporean internet entrepreneur, angel investor, and philanthropist. He is well sought for being the co-founder of Vodien Internet Solutions, growing it to be the largest hosting provider in Singapore. He Co-Founded Vodien Internet Solutions – leading it to Singapore's leading cloud hosting provider with 35,000 clients and a team of 150 before the 8-figure exit. Alvin has broken into the Big Boys Club when Vodien merged with an Australian firm, Dreamscape which is listed in the Australian Stock exchange (ASX) in July 2017, in a deal valued at S$30 million. He holds a-5-percent share at Dreamscape meanwhile.
Alvin Poh is a dual degree graduate with MSc, Information Systems (Carnegie Mellon University) and BSc, Information Systems (SMU), Class of 2010. In 2017, Alvin started supporting the Singapore Management University (SMU), joining as an adjunct professor and establishing a scholarship at SMU for financially needy undergraduate students. A scholarship recipient himself, impressed with the SMU pedagogy and deeply impacted by his experience at SMU, Alvin wants to pay it forward, with the hope of inspiring the next generation of SMU alumni to give back.
After selling his company, Alvin spent the following few years rotating the globe, exploring new hobbies like snowboarding, kite-surfing and many more. In 2020, he returned to Singapore and developed the 5E Scale Engine, which was the framework he used to scale up his business. Using that, he coached entrepreneurs, just like himself, on how to Super Scale their businesses so that they can achieve breakthrough profits and find time freedom.
Alvin Poh is now associated with his new company, CLDY, one of the super fast web hosting and email hosting for business in the industry serving clients with big names like Bakelab, Asian Scientist, Baseus, BYD,
FOTO88, Tsingtao, Nanynag technological university, Akashi group, Shaun the realtor and other many giants.
