Tarek Abdeen is the founder and chief executive officer of Marine Rescue Services, Egypt.

Tarek started his career life in 2003 and proudly worked his way up through a lot of tries, trials and challenges- like most of the people his age at this time in Egypt. He then decided to travel to Dubai, UAE for a business opportunity in 2008 where he faced more unexpected challenges. The challenge of being alone in a different country, the challenge of communication barriers, the challenge of proving himself while being surrounded by the most experienced people in his career industry and finally the challenge of not giving up and pursuing his dream.
After spending nearly a decade in his field, Tarek has led teams at one of the world’s top aquatic destinations as Marine and Waterpark Operations Manager at Atlantis the Palm Dubai, UAE. In 2015 Tarek was on time with a new challenge, the challenge of ability and the challenge of determination as the first Emergency and Rescue Manager to ever lead and operate Dubai and Sharjah Public Beaches, as well as working closely with the development of the Police Rescue Team and the Marine Ambulance achieving more than 4500 successful rescue cases with zero fatality between 2015 and 2019.
Tarek has built his extensive experience throughout emergency and rescue operations, particularly the areas of Aquatics Risk Management, Emergency Action Plans, Disaster Management, Risk Assessment Consultancy, and Operations Management. Additionally, he provides expertise with facility design, developing new operations, staff training, and incorporating the latest technologies into the Aquatic Safety and Marine Rescue fields.
Since becoming a Lifeguard instructor in 2004, Tarek has trained thousands of lifeguards for waterparks, resorts, pools, beaches and rescue operations. Tarek is one of the Lifeguard Instructor-Trainers for StarGuard ELITE programs and was part of the development and accreditation of unique facilities such as Dubai’s first night beach operation, LEGOLAND Dubai, Caesar Hotel and Resort, Cove Rotana Ras Al-Khaimah, City of Dreams Manila in Philippines and many more facilities consultations.
