The turning point happened since 2004, When a foundation made a donation campaign to buy the ship and started to renovate it completely, and became the world's largest floating bookfair, Run by GPA ships that is German charitable organization.

It brings all the cultures that exist in the world, and shows that it contains more than 10 thousand books in various fields, Mostly in English, also covers a wide range of subjects for adults and children, including science, sports, cooking, arts, languages and religion.

It is not only shed light on books you can buy, but also bring entertaining activities such as a theater on board which show Cultures and civilization of other countries, and offer activities to Children, as well as has an international café and a dining room.

The floating library succeeded in reflect the image of the integration of cultures and civilizations, as it operates with over 400 volunteers from 60 different nationalities Which is a great thing to be in one place with the same goal.

It travels every year between many countries around the world, as it visits about 150 States and territories till now, And It is the second time Logos Hope comes to Egypt since it's first docked its ship here in 2010, and will stay in port said until the 23rd of January.

At the end, Logos Hope remains in each port for about two weeks and opens the gangways to thousands of visitors each day, With an aim of sharing knowledge, help and hope to the world through literature, cultural understanding.
