A New Adventure for Ahmed Khaled Saleh with "The White Dress" at El Gouna

Ahmed Khaled Saleh embarks on a new journey with the film "The White Dress," recently completed and set to have its world premiere at the seventh edition of the El Gouna Film Festival. The film is competing in the feature film category, marking Saleh's first official participation in the festival.
Saleh expressed his excitement about the film's premiere, highlighting that he portrays a new and distinct character compared to his previous roles. He also shared his joy in collaborating with director Jilan Awaf on her first cinematic venture, noting his admiration for her earlier short films. Additionally, he is thrilled to reunite with actress Yasmin Raees, playing the role of "Hussein," the groom, after previously appearing as a guest star in the series "60 Minutes."
Originally titled "The Quest for the White Dress," the film features a cast that includes Yasmin Raees and Asma Galal, among other young talents. The plot revolves around two friends from a poor neighborhood, one of whom is about to get married. On the day of the wedding, her dress is ruined, leading the pair on a journey through Cairo to find a replacement.
In another project, Saleh appeared as a guest star in the fourth episode of the series "Mat'am Al-Habayeb," currently streaming on a digital platform. In this series, he plays "Abu Toka," a unique neighborhood tough guy from a bygone era, with a comedic twist and a particular phobia that causes him to undergo a complete transformation.
Saleh commented on his role, saying, "I was delighted to participate in this series as Abu Toka. It’s a new character for me, infused with comedic elements." He praised the collaboration with director Essam Abdelhamid and the entire cast and crew, expressing his admiration for the set designs and the intricate details that blend past and present, fantasy and reality, through the lens of culinary arts.
"Mat'am Al-Habayeb" stars Ahmed Malek, Huda El Mufti, Bayoumi Fouad, Intisar, Aida Riyad, Sami Maghawry, and Islam Ibrahim, along with guest appearances from several other actors, including Abeer Sabry. The series is written by Mariam Naoum, directed by Essam Abdelhamid, and produced by Abdullah Abul-Fotouh.
