Don't hesitate to do the things you love, as long as it makes you happy
Loubna Hassanin, 34 years old, studied Business. It wasn't her dream as she was passionate about Media, but unfortunately couldn't have luck with that. She then became an accountant since she graduated, so she has great experience in the field. This is considered a great step toward her dream, and her talents help her. Let's learn more about her in this interview we conducted with her.
Before blogging, tell us about your story with social media?
I have a sense of writing and entered the world of social media by creating my page on Facebook, known as Relationshit, in 2011. It has about 3M followers and is full of pictures with my quotes about relationships. It is considered my little baby. It became the beginning of my presence on social media.
How did you start as a fashion blogger?
I am a lover of photography, fashion, and makeup, and I love to capture things with my lens and take shots. So, I decided to go public with my account in 2017 by sharing my birthday photoshoot. People loved it, and the pictures went viral. They liked the idea of birthday shoots because it was a new idea. They also liked my style and makeup. From that moment, I became a fashion and makeup blogger on social media, especially Instagram.
How did your job help you with social media?
My experience in Business helped me in marketing myself on media. In the end, I didn't give up on what I loved. I reached the media by the way I loved, with the best thing I can do, which is fashion and makeup. I made reels about fashion and makeup tutorials.
What are your obstacles to appearing on the media?
One of the obstacles to appearing on the media is that when I'm going through problems and need to take a rest from social media. Once I come back, it takes great effort to attract people again. Besides, fashion is always renewed, and I need to be always following developments and what's new.
What's your flaw that made you disappear so much from the media?
One of my flaws that made me disappear so much in the media is that I want everything to be perfect, from the beginning of the equipment and mirror to the background. And it's a very wrong thing. You have to start with what you want to do with the least potential you have. Don't wait until you're fully ready because you won't do what you want or you won't remember how to do it anymore.
"If you never try, you will never know."
That's how Loubna ended her talk with us. Everything you want to start is something you're worried about, although we haven't tried yet. Experiences teach you everything. No risk, no fun. No risk, no success.
