From Inception to Reality’’ "Amira Soliman " A young Egyptian woman who pursed different careers and mastered them all…"
With over 13 years of 360 experience in Media and Marketing Communication agencies, managing clients at an international, regional and local level.Amira Soliman, managed and delivered fully-fledged campaigns (From their inception phase to their final delivery phase).
Amira has graduated from English College of Commerce, after graduation, she worked at Alex Bank (Intesa San Paolo) as an internal communication specialist for a year. Even though she loved it, but she has felt that it is not the right place for her and decided to follow her passion for media writing
Amira, started working in one of the most famous magazines for youth back then in 2010, as a managing editor then was promoted to be the editor in chief of the magazine at her 23, which made her the youngest editor in chief in Egypt.
"كلمتنا‘’ & "TeenStuff’’ magazine were mainly established to support the youth in Egypt to express themselves in different aspects. It was the first magazine in Egypt & the Middle East that was written by youth targeting youth
Afterwards, Amira moved to one of the most reputable magazines ‘7 Ayyam’ to pursue a new challenge where she had the chance to interview multiple public figure from all around the world, like MRS.Kholoud Al Omian, the 1st editor in chief of Forbes Middle East, the British interior designer Kelly Hoppens, Azza Fahmy, Omar Samra, and the American photographer Angelo Merindino and many more.
Amira Soliman was not only creative in writing, nor was it her only goal, Amira Soliman wasn't just into creative in writing, and it wasn't her only goal, Mohammed Saadi discovered that she was able to deal with clients, explore the advertising and marketing world, comprehending the clients’ needs and guiding them to perfectly tell their brand’s stories through advertisements. She decided to do a career shift to work in the advertising field and let the writing be something on the side.
Having worked in different companies and work environments motivated her to succeed more and apply what she learnt on the brands she manages in order to help them tell their stories and reach their audience the best way possible.
Amira has worked in the most reputable advertising agencies in Egypt, Such as Media Hub (Saadi Gohar), Bee Interactive and now she holds the position of an Account Director at Synergy Advertising ".
From her point of view, work is a set of experiences, and if the person is challenging himself each and every day to learn and explore new opportunities he/she will eventually find out their passion and not give up on themselves.
In the light of the point of "Exploring different things even if they are new challenging”, Amira challenged herself in exploring a different career which is talent management in 2017, by being the middle east manager for the former squash player, Ramy Ashour who believed in her skills and strategic vision and they worked together on different campaigns such as Concrete’s and also signed the CIB sponsorship. Amira helped Ramy in establishing his visual identity by creating a logo that is timeless. A logo that combines his squash achievements and passion of music that he kept on using even after his retirement from the squash field.
Amira successfully through her advertising career has managed various brands in Egypt " ورّغب " "جهينة ,"Telecom Egypt, Orange, Dr.Otker, Cooks, HD Bank, Knorr, Loacker amd more.
One of the most recent advertisements was for "We" was that of Yasmine Abdelaziz and Karim Abdelaziz, that was number 1 trend in Ramadan, 2022, not only in Egypt but also in the middle east.
Generally, Amira believes that the digital marketing in Egypt still needs to be done more professionally and to be data driven, based on consumer insights and deep analysis of their online behavior.
“The correct use of social media in general can help in enhancing people’s lives, as they are a great source to improve a one’s knowledge and can help them learning new things daily.” She added.
Speaking of women, Amira believes that women need to be valued in society even more. Although we are in 2022, women have more burdens than in the past, they still need to have the same rights as men.Ultimately, we need the culture of appreciation of efforts to be more common.
