The EdTech entrepreneur, changing education one young coder at a time

The impact of ischool is not the end, but rather the beginning of a larger journey; Eng. Ibrahim Youssef Ibrahim, he has studied in primary school education stages across three countries in MENA.

He graduated from his hometown Mansoura University in Egypt with engineering bachelor’s degree.

He realized that his generation didn’t acquire the basic technical skills and abilities needed in the labor market.

There are literally millions of graduates who don’t have the necessary skills or abilities needed to work, and this keeps increasing daily.

So, he decided to try and change the status quo, During his first professional journey in an education institution in Cairo, he tried to help the faculty students by upskilling them, facilitating support and exposing them to national and international events and competitions.

By the end of this journey, he had helped create a technology students' community, met with amazing team members among the brilliant students who shared the same vision with him.  And with them created good impact, but still, a big percentage of young adults in college he didn’t have the willing to change. After a while his first child was growing up and he didn’t want him to go through the same educational process, so at first, he discussed with the team targeting school students and them started a couple of projects and the results were amazing. Most kids loved learning about technology, they were passionate, they enjoyed it and the parents were overjoyed. At this point, He decided to focus his efforts on students at tender ages to help shape them into Tomorrow’s technology leaders.

He discussed the idea with his first co-founders [Mohamed Algawish, and Mostafa Abdelmoneim], and they agreed almost instantly.

they choose to upskill students in technology fields because most of the emerging jobs today and tomorrow are technology roles. It’s estimated that the global shortage of technology talents will reach 85m jobs and even the non technology jobs will require medium to high technology skills.

They launched ischool, an online coding platform that offers personalized and localized coding classes for kids between 6 and 18 years old to help them build careers in emerging technology fields, such as web development, game development, AI, Robotics, UI and UX, AR and VR, multimedia and design.

ischool now became No 1 MENA online coding platform for kids between 6 and 18 years old, with accreditation from STEM.org and IAIDL, with thousands of students from Egypt, Saudi, UAE, Qatar, Sudan, South Korea, and even US and Canada.

his two cents for young adults, you must upskill yourself. There are many channels today to learn and develop your skills. Dedicate a permanent part of your time for your personal growth, and validate your knowledge gain by working small freelance jobs or applying in internships.
