About the beginnings of Ahmed Ali.

In the first year of study, Ahmed worked in the field of journalism at "اليوم السابع  " newspaper, and continued for two years, but Ahmed always had a passion for searching for new ideas.

In the third year of his studies, he held a photo exhibition called "بلدنا أحلى"  in Beni Suef, and a good number of amateur photographers participated in the exhibition.

The exhibition consisted of pictures for each picture, a story in a rural place or something else. The exhibition was held in a café called Metro, which became famous after adopting the “بلدنا أحلى” exhibition.

Another achievement during Ahmed's study was the "BMS Women" initiative. This was a Facebook page that supported women who are on their way to accomplishing something.

Ahmed was honored during that initiative by the Friends of Zewail City.

And because Ahmed always saw that the world now needs entrepreneurs more than someone who works as an employee with a certain number of working hours that restricts him and exhausts his time, he traveled to Turkey after graduating from university, because he always saw that journalism was not his last ambition, but he was always looking for configure his own business.

Ahmed had difficulty accepting his visa to Turkey three times, and there he learned about the field of plastic recycling at an advanced stage, which is that I can extract a final product from plastic recycling, so he decided to look for another suitable country to be unique in that field, so he decided to return to Egypt and prepare his paper to travel to Oman.

And about some of the difficulties Ahmed faced; He said about it, "There were people who always tried to prevent me from going into that field, or going deeper into it, especially because of my young age in the field, but I did not stop at that time, but rather continued, and my family, especially my father and mother, are the most fortunate supporters for me."

"Beginning of "Arkan"

In Oman, he searched for recycling factories, but he did not have the money for a private business, so he decided to work with an Egyptian man as a broker who would buy the goods and then take his commission.

Until he bought a car, extracted a license from his own money, then sold an apartment that he had in Egypt, and collected the money to buy a waste recycling machine in a place that belonged to someone there, until he rented the entire place 1,500 meters for his own account, then every period he used to buy a machine until they became Three recycling machines and the foundation of a company called "Arkan"

Ahmed said in this regard, "To be honest, I faced many difficulties and was able to overcome them within a year and months. I was able to start my own project, and I was able to be one of the strongest exporters of raw materials and modified plastics, and I have a great background on non-hazardous waste and the way to deal with it and completely recycle it until It is not plastic, and I contracted with the largest companies, especially in the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, then I became one of the strongest exporters and dealt with more than one country in export, the most important of which are India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates" .

Due to the strength of the business with the Emirates, Ahmed established a commercial office in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the RAKEZ Business Center.

Through Ahmed's work in the field of waste recycling, this field of "recycling" opened his horizons to other fields such as manufacturing mineral water bottles with labels on them, and this is the main step and ambition that he aspires to and is working on now.

Ahmed believes that it is one of the most important qualities that an entrepreneur or others must possess. Flexibility and honesty, and that he understands the need he is working on and knows exactly what he wants from work and patience, and that he is walking with steady steps, and that development and permanent learning about everything related to the field is a must.

When we asked Ahmed about Egypt's position in this field, he said, "The raw materials are more and the work is wider and larger, but the efficiency, quality and export are lacking. We are working on exporting as I do in the Oman. I did not have the money to do this with so that I know how to start. I mean, and often if I were to tell someone in Egypt that I I want to start a recycling plant at the beginning of my circumstances. It was possible for them to think that I was crazy and stop my current situation.”
