Salma Oraby, who is a 27 year old female. Growing up, Salma loved science and she saw herself pursuing her love for science in the future

This article is going to be about the very talented and creative Salma Oraby, who is a 27 year old female. Growing up, Salma loved science and she saw herself pursuing her love for science in the future and graduating from school to study Dentistry, but unfortunately, she didn’t get the score that would allow her to study Dentistry.

Salma then felt disappointed and felt that her future is coming to an end because she really wanted to study Dentistry, but there was no luck. After all that, Salma got accepted in The Faculty of Arts and that was the turning point in her life. Her thought process was that she was going to get through her college years and not do anything afterwards, at this point of her life she just wanted to graduate and nothing else because she thought she failed in life after not getting accepted in Dentistry. Throughout the second year of college, Salma decided that she should stop acting this way and realized that this is not her usual character and that she loves doing activities and exploring new things, she then decided she would take workshops and learn new things. Salma then started to study and pay attention more and she then realized that she had a passion for translation and she realized that in school, she was always very good in the English language.

Coincidentally, Women of Egypt page appeared in front of Salma and she sent them a message requesting that if they need translators, she is available to start working and they informed her that they did in-fact need a translator to work for them. Salma translated piece after piece and they found her to be a committed young lady, so they started sending her more work to do and giving her more responsibilities and she also started attending events with team and she would give talks and speak on behalf of the initiative. Salma was doing an outstanding job and some people thought that Women of Egypt was her initiative because of how much of a good job she was doing. Salma kept realizing how much she really loves translating more and more, she started to think she wanted to experience more things related to translation and she found a course in The American University of Cairo for translation and she joined this course and she wanted to extend her knowledge on translation and she also loved PR work and Salma loved extending her circle and she was always open to learning new things and experience new things. Salma finished college and she wanted to have something more certified in translation, so she applied for the Diploma in translation in The American University of Cairo. Surprisingly, Salma turned from hating college to applying for a master’s degree in college and now she is still doing one in The Faculty of Arts, she became grateful because she was now happy in her life whilst working and learning more about translation. Salma now not only translates, she also writes content, she is now  a content writer and translator for a company called Mount Pr which is a PR agency. Salma’s support system was her family especially her mother, who was very supportive and was allowing Salma to have the chance to learn new things and attend courses and experience new things which really helped her in her career.

Salma’s advice to people is that they should never give up and not to stick to only one plan for ourselves, we should always have backup plans for ourselves in case anything goes wrong. If a plan fails, we should pursue our other plans and not give up and think this is the end of the world, that we should always fight for a good career and she has a quote that she loves which says “ When you find yourself escaping, remember why you started”. Salma worked with many clients in and out of Egypt, she developed many contacts and new knowledge and to her surprise, she is even able now to translate law pieces which is hard, but she is able to do it now. Salma’s advice is to never give up and to always fight and pursue a good career and always have backup plans and never ever give up if one of them fails, Salma Is now also learning the Russian language and is always looking for new knowledge.
